My Passion for Graphical Design in Footwear

One of my key concepts in shoe design has always been geometrical clean lines. It appeals to me every few rounds of work with various motivating topics.

It seems to be returning with these "Picasso" and "Charlotte" shoe designs. They are both quite different, but my objective in creating these two designs was to produce pure geometrical lines that generate unique graphical shoe shapes. I made graphical designs on the women's feet using "straight" and "rounded" lines. These diagram-like shoe designs are brought to life by the use of strong colors (red and black).

"Picasso" is my favorite of these two footwear designs since I created an original shoe style that is neither a pump nor a boot. It blends elements of these two forms of footwear.

In general, I enjoy asymmetrical shoe construction since the shoe has a few different, sometimes completely separate sides. In my instance, looking at the shoe from one angle makes you assume it's a boot. When you look at the other side, the outside, you assume it's a pump. It also appears to be somewhat perplexing from both the front and rear views. So this is the magic, the major power of the asymmetrical footwear that I adore the most.
